I recently saved this item from the trash. I know nothing about it other than I was able to look up a patent number found on the metal structure of the back adjustments. The pantent was applied for in 1936 by the bassick company and was called posture-chair. The finish is worn and it has some nicks but nothing major. The seat part has tried to separate slightly but is still sound. All the components work as they should and all the metal only has surface rust. The caster wheels are severely flat spotted and need replaced and none of them match eithe so they have been replaced before. The hardware attatching the seat back also seems to have been replaced at some point in time.
