This cookstove has been used for many years at our hunting camp. Unknown origin/date. The unit still works. This unit also has the water jacket feature.
I actually know very little about this particular piece. I'm doing the research for a friend. I did however find a very similar one online, that stated it was a "Bouraine". When researching the name etched into the bottom, I found that it led me to think it was a family from Ireland.
Any insight on the story\value of this item would be greatly appreciated.
I don't actually know that much about this item, doing the research for a friend. This pitcher was given to her about fifty five years ago, by a music teacher in Northern Ontario.
Should this be in the wrong thread please let me know, or admin can go ahead and move it! :)
These statues are hand-carved, and not mass-produced tourist junk. There are two distinct Ainu figurines and there is a stand that has the same marking as is on the statues themselves. Any information as to value would be helpful.
there is the letters R A and the word Runet on the movement, inside of case there is the numbers 26449 along with what I think maybe a 3 and a crown, the face is white with gold hands and gold minutes,
