A. Santini Classical Lion Sculpture

Category
Fine Art
Condition
Good
Description

I had to take pictures with my phone so they're not quality but I got one of the signature and of the full sculpture under the best lighting I could. I've seen a.santini lions but I've never been able to find one exactly like this one so I don't know it's actual value for it's size and the rarity of this particular sculpture.  I once emailed the daughter of A. Santini who gave me a little information on it (probably 7 or 8 years ago) and she said the approximate value at the time was around $300 usd. I just wondered if it was still going for that or more or less now.

Korean Mape

Category
Asian Art
Description

I have two Korean Mape which were a symbol of authority given directly from the King.  The undercover agents were called Amhengusa.

The Amhengusa would go from town to town disguised as commoners in search of corruption within the kingdom.

Once a corrupt official was found, the Amhengusa would reveal the Mape giving all authority to him.  The townspeople were then obliged to follow the orders of the Amhengusa in what had to be done.

I have done a search for any other existing Mape but have been unable to find even a picture of one.

Because the style and texture of these two Mape are so different from each other, I believe one to be fake and one to be authentic.

Moschino bag purchased May 99 at Store in Vienna, cannot find anywhere to get value

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

Hi. I bout this Bag at Moschino in 1999 when I was visiting on Vacation. It was the only one in the store, and seemed to be more of a display bag. The sales person was surprised I was interested in it given it's huge size. After a little pleading, she sold it to me for 600,000 Lire or around $400. It is the traditional Moschino label, and HUGE. The Heart is the Moschino signature. I was thinking of reselling this bag, I just have no idea what it is worth. I have scoured ebay and countless sites looking for another example of this bag and cannot find it anywhere. The prices on the Moschino bags vary so much it would be impossible to know where to start. The Heart bags do seem coveted, and this one is unique. When I carried it for a few years the looks the thing got were pretty amazing. I have the original store bag as well. This bag never came with a fabric protection bag simply because there wasn't one big enough when I bought it. Any ideas on how much my bag is worth would be greatly appreciated.

John Widdicomb Bedroom

Category
Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

All pieces are in very good to excellent condition.  The dresser top and both night stand tops have been refinished.  The original finish (tops) was in very bad condition... chipped and scratched which severly detracted from its beauty.  There are minimal scuffs on the rest of the surfaces of all pieces.
