This is what appears to be a reproduction oil painting by Louis Seybold of Sail Boats in a sea port of a foreign country. It is in the original frame, and the painting appears to be done on Hard Board. If anyone knows the value of this item, please advise.
Extremely heavy, thrust-action Remington Rand "quiet-writer" typewriter. Unusual short advance bar in front above keys; atypical green, plastic square keys (not encircled); high support behind platen; unusual metal clip on center of top above typebars; ribbon is loose and winds on spool attached to typewriter. Tag on front says Penn Jersey Business Machine Company, Morrisville, PA (no zipcode). Unable to locate serial number or model number. Back has writing that says "Remington Rand" and something that is illegible, behind platen has writing that is worn off. Similar to Remington Rand Superwriter, but some features are different. Many small knobs and handles for adjustments, not sure what they do. Much too heavy to be portable, so no case.
This dresser has a large beveled mirror, quarter sawn oak and four beautiful claw feet (two on the bottom front legs and two on the "mirror holder"). The top is 24" deep. I am 42 years old and this belonged to my great grandmother... so its at least that old. All hardware is original as is the beveled mirror. I'm asking $250. Email me if interested and I can give you my address to come take a look. It really is a nice piece. Do yourself a favor and come take ganders for yourself. It's priced to sell!!!
BEAUTIFUL ALABASTER BIRD LAMP. THIS LAMP STANDS ABOUT 14" HIGH. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS FROM THE 20'S AND IS HAND CARVED ALABASTER. IT HAS A FEW VERY MINOR CHIPS BUT IS IN GREAT SHAPE FOR ITS AGE.
