Hand carved, dining chair set. A masters chair with arms, a mistress chair and four side chairs. Once were horse hair covered but refinished and recovered in early 1960's. Orriginal coasters (rollers) on all chairs.
Photo's can explain designs on front, just too much going on. Children dancing all around outer edge, Castles, moons and stars, etching around inner circle, Name "Ava Solfia" carved in front. Back side looks hammered (Hand Made).
Me thinks this is a rare lithograph i found at a thrift store about 15 years ago for a dollar. I can only find a handful of likenesses on the internet.
The pictures are the best way to tell about the item. The top is oval shaped, there is some wear to the top coat on one of the sections of the top (you can see it in the photo shot from the right side). There are nicks and light damage on the legs and parts of the side.
Overall it is a great piece. I just have no idea the age, when it was made, etc. I've looked everywhere and see no markings of any kind.
Would just love any feedback or information about this item.
