THIS BOTTLE WAS DISCOVERED IN AN OLD CELLER WITH OTHER VARIOUS ANTIQUE BOTTLES. THE BOTTLE HAS NEVER BEEN OPENED; IT CONTAINS ITS ORIGINAL CONTENTS. THE ORIGINAL SEAL IS IN TACT. THE SEAL CONSIST OF TAR AND SAND. THERE IS NO CHICKEN WIRE SURROUNDING THE BOTTLE. THE LABELS ARE SOMEWHAT HARD TO READ DUE TO OLD AGE. THE HOT ENVIRONMENT THAT THE BOTTLE WAS FOUND IN CAUSED SOME OF THE ORIGINAL SEAL TO RUN DOWN THE BOTTLE. THE LABELS ARE HARD TO READ BUT THE SEAL THAT RAN DOWN THE BOTTLE STAINED, AND PRESERVED THE LABEL. THE BOTTLE IS HAND BLOWN GLASS AND HAS SLIGHT BLUE TINT TO IT.
My husband and I bought a house that is over 100 years old about 2 months ago. Apparently, nobody thought to check the attic before selling it, because there is a lot of stuff up there...all of it but this chair remains unexplored because I don't have a ladder and I stood on top of a dresser to pop my head in there. The chair was within my reach, so I pulled it down.
It is in excellent condition other than being very dirty, I have not cleaned it off yet as I just pulled it down about an hour ago.
The chair is constructed of metal, and has these metal springs to make it bouncy. The seat is red and says Welsh Playmate on it. There is a tray-type thing made out of the same red material in the front, and a metal rod going across with colored beads on it.
I bought a box of stuff from the auctions a couple of months ago and found this clown in the bottom i dont know anything about him i couldnt find a signature or halmark anywhere i just want to know more about him ?????
I bought this fish at an estate sale. I think it is bronze. There is a little bit of greening on the bottom. The pictures make it look super shiney but it is just semi-shiney. It is almost 14 inches. When you look inside the mouth you can see a seem up the middle and it looks like it was hand done but I dont know a lot about these things so please take that with a grain of salt. It really is unique and everyone asks about it. There are marking beneath the tail. It looks like a M and a small line. I have attached pictures on the markings.
