Wardrobe/Armoire

Category
European Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

5 cubbyholes on the right marked shirts, pyjamas, underwear and sundries.  Left side has a bar for hanging clothes.  The only marks I've found are on the locks which are stamped ASRO  and hinges which say Made in England TC.  There are a couple of dings and scratches.   One sliding hinge is broken on the left side.

Dragon head carved Morris style Chair

Category
Furniture
Description

Rescued from a barn, this is an unusual morris style rocker. Not sure what kind of wood. Spring unit still in place but the upholstery is long gone from mice, critters and age. One bracket is broke but can be easily fixed. Chair needs some restoration but is so unique, it will be worth it. Side slats are curved. Would love to know more about it and what it may be worth. I have more pictures of it.

Antique Oriental Wood Statue Buddah with Metal Bells

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Fair
Description

Very nice oriental wood statue. Possibly a Monk or other religious figure. I was told it was used as a dinner bell. I think it was a prayer bell. The piece needs to be cleaned and repaired professionally as some of the paint is chipping off. It is missing the front of one foot and the striker for the bell is gone also. I've seen similar in an exhibition at the Birmingham, Alabama Museum of Art a few years ago. I have no idea exactly what and where it is from, nor the age of the statue.

Stump Speaker Mechanical Bank (Original 1886)

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Fair
Description

I have an original Stump Speaker mechanical bank. I know that these were made by the Shepard Hardware Co. of Buffalo NY in the 1880s and early 90s, and this one is inscribed with "Pat. June 8, 1886" on the bottom. This piece has the spot for the trap door in the back, although it is missing the door and key. It also has a crack on the topp "deck" where the figure is standing, and it looks like another crack has been repaired in the past. The paint is still in pretty average shape compared to many of the other pieces I've seen online, and the mechanism works well still. I know that these in mint condition have been appraised at as much as $8k - $12k, and I find many online for around $3k. I know with the damage this could be worth considerably less than that, but I don't know exactly how much. Please take a look at the photos, I'm very interested to see how much this is worth. Thanks very much.
