This poignard is in as new condition. It has a stainless steel blade (not sharpened). The hilt is rosewood, and the pommel and cross piece is gold plated. It comes in a velvet and satin inlaid presentation box with the Wilkinson Sword emblem and Royal Appointment information embossed in the satin. The hinged presentation box has brass fittings and measures 45cm x 13cm x 4cm.
It may be for sale, depending on its value about which I have little idea.
There are detailed etchings in the sword fish and palm tree as well as around the perimeter of buckle. The background appears to be bits of sea shells and bottom is turquoise. It is quite unusual so hopefully someone will be able to help determine the value and possibly the age of it. Thanks so much for your help!
It is a lovely piece with cherry's on the tile and has 2 doors underneath top for storage. I'm not even sure what it is called. I thought it may have been a server or sideboard. It appears to be quite old but I'm unsure of the age or history. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I inherited this rocking chair from my Dad. I was with him about 45 years ago while he was at the city dump. He noticed this chair tied together with strings and grabbed it out of the trash and threw it in our truck. He had it stripped, refinished and reglued together. I have never seen another chair like it, and would appreciate any information anyone can give me.
