It is a wonderful piece, in excellent condition (see pix's)..it has a nice patina and it's stamped "morris willmore co., trenton, nj....has hairline crack not visible from front, not thru ..need an appraisal on this item in order to sell it..
This is a great Arnel's piece . It's a four part canister with parts that come together to form one large mushroom . The item is in brilliant shape , clean , and very pleasing to the vintage collector's eye . Typical seventies orange and beige with green and brown in the smaller mushrooms .
This little saw was made by the great old E.C ATKINS & CO. for a hardware store called "HOFFMAN MARK CO"who`s name I can no records of past 1872.I saw there was an auction for 3 of their hand written receipts...I`ve only cleaned it enough to read some of the etching on the blade. What I can make out is "HOFFMAN MARK CO. SPECIAL NO. 226 SOUTH ??? ST. ???CITY STATE"...The E.C.ATKINS brass button is on the handle.
The pipe is discolored from use, but in otherwise good condition. I'm not sure if the pipe stem is original, or not. It seems to be made from Bakelite and it is no longer shiny, so it certainly seems like the correct material and age.
This Delpheon phonograph is in fairly good condition for its age, the are blemishes and scratches on the wood (oak maybe?) but no large gouges or cracks to be found. The phonograph has its megaphone inside the unit below the turntable and above a drawer that leans open to reveal leather record sleeves to organize your collection. The drawer itself has a keyhole and although the key is missing it appears to be the only accessory gone from this phonograph aside from some screws. (The hinge on the lid is not connected but is complete and sitting in its cradle to the side of the turntable. THIS PHONOGRAPH WORKS GREAT!! After all these years you can crank it a few times and listen to one of the two records that came with it for a looong time. Its really astonishing how good it sounds, almost eerie... The legs have small casters and wheels which are all still attached and working. I think this could be a great restorative piece for some phonograph enthusiast, or could just be more junk that i need to throw out when I move soon i don't know.
