My grandmother got these from a woman and does not know the history or who made these. They are very nice shakers and there are alot of similar ones i've seen on ebay but none like these 2 due to the shape and the markings along the upper area.
My grandmother told me she got this from a woman she knows but has no markings although i found a similar piece on ebay which is listed as "Keystonwear" which turns up on google as a company called "Keystoneware" not sure if this helps.
Have no idea exactly what it is other then something used for cooking or serving.
My guess is it was used to keep food warm because of the base it sits on leaves a nice hole that looks like a heating source would sit in to keep the food warm.
