This Mahogny Mantel was in my parents home. My dad was raised in this particular home and he is 75 years old. It has a mirror with it. My parents recently remodeled their home and decided not to put the mantel back over fireplace.
Unit comes apart for shipping. The top, sides and back all have locking pins and tongue and groove construction. I have been told it may have been a piece from a ship's cabin like the Angus London desk I sold. There are no hallmarks but the hardware is solid brass and there is a beveled glass mirror in the door. Any information would be greatly appreciated. given to me by a friend. I have added s few pictures of the hardware if that helps to recognize this piece. Thank you!
I have a wooden painted toy chest with lid and it features and hand painted raggedy Ann and Andy wood applique on the front. That part looks hand done. it has wooden wheels and a rope for pulling. Will upload photo shortly.
This book is in poor shape, the spine is missing and one section of pages has come apart, but none are missing. It is an original print from 1930, I believe, and is printed in German. I bought this book from my local library in their used book store. I have not found any German editions online, only American from 1931. There is also a picture of the author in the fron of the book with her signature below it. The signature appears to be printed, not written.
