I am not sure of the function of the item, but would like to know what it is used for and how much it is worth. It is a sea shell shaped bowl with candle holders and a smaller bowl on one end of it. It has a claw leg on the end with the candle holders to keep it upright. I thought maybe it was something used for christening or something? Any help would be appreciated.
China swan with gold trim and gold lines around curves. It has red roses and green leaves on the side and on the swan's neck. The swan is sitting on a pedestal (so the pedestal is the legs - you only see the swans top part of the body. It appears to be some kind of candy dish or something. The swans back is open and there is a 7" X 4" X 2.5" "bowl" in the swans back. I used it as sort of a planter and put fake flowers in it for awhile.
I purchased this print at an auction 15 years ago. The man that sold this fine piece had it in his family for 60 years.
The print has a little damage in the lower right corner. The frame is in great condition with just a chip in right corner.
I believe the frame is the original.
A very unique find in great condition for it's age.
