Chinese wood carving

Category
China
Condition
Excellent
Description

Picked this wood carving of a chinese man up in a thrift store. It is all hand done with no artist name or anything. He seems to be a messenger because he is holding something that looks like a note. He is dressed in very high class clothes from 1850-1890, and from the look of his hat, he seems to be a part of the government. There is a symbol on his clothes that i have definitely seen before, but do not remember.

Commode Chest

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

A Louis XVI period commode (or chest of drawers) which retains all of its original pulls, marble top. This demilune style commode has three central drawers to the front. The marquetry to the front depicts a male suitor and a women. (see photographs).
The piece is 43 inches wide, 33 inches high, 20 inches deep. It is in excellent condition--undamaged marble, structurally sound construction, with no missing veneer. This is a reproduction of a original Louis XVI. It is excellent condition and has been in my family for over thirty years. I do not know the original manufacturer or it production date. There is some marking on it and no manufactures name.
If this was a original 1800 piece it would be valued over $10,000.00. See link. This piece maybe one made by the J.B. Van Sciver Furniture Company was a major national furniture manufacturer located in Camden, New Jersey from the 1880 through to the 1970s

Drexel Esperanto Dining Table with 2 leafs

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Fair
Description

I received this table and some chairs from an elderly lady. I was trying to figure out what to do with it when I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is a Drexel.

I have both the head chairs (1 damaged leg) and 4 side chairs. All the cushions need replacing. The wood on the table is in excellent condition (no deep scratches or chips). However, the finish is poor and shows age (I think it would need refinishing).

Are the chairs worth keeping (does it increase the value of the table itself)? How much could I expect to sell this piece for, both in its current state and a finished state?

I appreciate all comments,
