I recently inherited an old bottle of JTS Brown, bottled in bond, 100 proof, spring 1961. All seals are still intact, glass is unchipped, front and rear labels are in excellent condition, and only a small amount has been lost to evaporation.
Interestingly, it was bottled the same year as it was famously asked for by "fast eddie" felson in the movie The Hustler. So perhaps it has some memorabilia value.
THIS PLATTER HAS WRITTEN ON THE BACK
THE SHEFFIELD SILVER CO
MADE IN U.S.A
E P C IN BLOCK LETTERS WITH
5/166 BELOW IT. THE DESIGN IS VISIBLE ON FRONT AND BACK. YOU CAN SEE WHAT APPEARS TO BE A COPPER COLORING SHOWING THROUGH ON THE FRONT SIDE IN THE DESIGN.
Sorry no pictures but will try to get you some if needed! The pictuer is titled Brinstons Mill by A. Wyeth. Again I don't think it's a print because of the watercolor paper! I don't want to take it apart and possibly ruin the value to get more info.
