I have an ABC American electric wringer washer with copper wash tub estimated date of manufacture is 1925 by the Altorfer Brothers Company, Peoria, Illinois. It was used by the former owner of my house, during her ownership she ran a fishing resort and boarding house out of the 10 bedroom home and used this washer until she passed in the early 1970's. It appears to be complete, have not tested it to see if it still works. I am interseted in finding the value of this item for possible sale.
I do also know that it was the first collar found in my part of the state in 120 years. Also this collar would have been sealed locked for life and most likely buried with slave. I have been told by many collectors that it is 17th century but never told what it was worth (muesems dont like to tell you what things are worth. also at the same dig I found a pair of Hyatt shackles from around 1835 through 4 years of investigating the property it was found that the house and it's owners the Yerkes Family of Warwick,Pa were part of the UGRR.
