large oval with handles
gold watch given to my husband's grandfather upon his retirement from mid-continent petroleum corp. in 1954Â Â in fair shape-- still works
1 teapot, 1 chocolate pot, 1 milk jug, 2 covered sauce/sugar bowls with attached underplate, 2 medium covered vegetables, 1 large covered vegetable, 7 dinner plates, 6 rimmed soup bowls, 7 salad plates, 6 dessert plates, 10 cups and 7 saucers. Â One soup has a chip on the underside of the rim, otherwise this set looks like it was never used.
This was won 25 years ago on a cat food contest. AT the time it was valued at $100.
This is a 1947 Singer sewing machine (AH549231) with table in working condition. It was my mother in laws and she sewed on it constantly until she recently moved out of state and left it behind.
I need to send the pics they are not on the net.
I am not sure of the details on this table but I would love to know even a little more about it. It was purchased in Memphis Tennessee through the J. Goldsmiths retailer. I am not sure of the date of purchase but I think it is somewhere around the 1890's. I cannot find anything anywhere on the manufacturer Wait Furniture Company in Portsmouth Ohio. I do know that J. Goldsmiths was in business in Memphis from the 1870's to the 1920's when they changed their name, again. The only records I could find on the Wait Furniture Company was a real estate record from the 1870s where they sold a warehouse building to another company (were they bought out?). I am ultimately looking for the value of the item as I have no use for it but cannot bring myself to give it away without knowing more or finding a good antiques dealer who would be able to care for it.
