My great grandmother was one of the very first female corporate executives in the Macy's corporation. She was a collector of a number of antiques including silver sets, furniture etc. However, none of the family is sure of what this piece is and where it came from. A good deal of her other items have been valuable and we just are trying to figure out what we have.
I found this Beautiful piece at an antique store in Jonesboro,Arkansas in 1999. This Buffet is in Mint condition as you can see in picture. I was curious and researched this as on back of the drawer is a marking either stamped or engraved that has 1800 Work hui? This is what I make it out to be. I have not found anything Online except one night I seen the same buffet on Antique Roadshow many years back that sold for $25,000. I bought this piece for $1000 back in 1999. I have seen one on Ebay go for $2500 but for 1900's buffet. Since times are hard I would like to sell this for the right price. If interested please make an offer.
circa 1900 Atkins Clock Co. Mantle Clock in fair condition, good story behind it too. Gold paint on glass front is slightly diminishing, still ticking! in the front of case the wood has small crack and it looks like it was professionally repaired at that point.a few small dings in the front base and the latch is worn on the door. Original paper clock face in tact but needs tender care and attention to be restored to a working state. (its warped and crispy) so I just removed it(it was just dangling there) and put it away for safe keeping.
I inherited these from my grandmother recently. She worked for Artistic Interiors back in the early to mid 80's. I don't have the room for them and figured I would sell them to someone that knows what they are and who would appreciate them. I have 3 paintings total a 20x24, 12x16, and a 8x10. I'm posting the picuters in the order of size listed above. There will a pic of the front of the painting and a pic of the certification number on the back.
Thank you
