This item was given to my mother by a Mr Snow in England in about 1972. He was a collector of Dresden China and said that this figurine was one of only 100 made of its size. We MAY consider selling, depending on its worth.
The lid is pewter with porcelain inlay. The scene in the porceline is that of a woman. On the underside of the lid there is engraving, the inscription reads: "Hefse H. Engel" and below that "Weihenstephan.Juli.1872". The underside of the lid is also stamped D Beill. The thumb lift is a depiction of what looks like a bearded man or gnome.
My mother used to play this accordian all the time, but none of us know how to play it. It has great sound, but the leather straps have dried out. None of the keys are missing or stick. I was told that it is worth more in it's original condition, so I did not replace the strap.
this is a painting I got from my grandfather he died at 83, the painting is an original, artist I cant exactly make out it looks like 5ukgyc or 5ukyyc maybe one of those, well the painting is painted on a product on top of the canvas, it's like cement or what ever painters use
the frame is solid wood and probably much older then the painting, and the back of the frame is wraped around the edges with a paper like material
Thank You who ever might be able to help me on this one.
1913 Victrola (dated by label on back). Dark reddish veneer finish, I think it's cherry. Finish is scratched up a bit on the sides and worn on the top. Winds, works, and plays records just fine.
Several 78 rpm one and two sided records included, mostly big-band marches. One of note is a 2 sided record, a song on one side and the other is a spoken promotion for the "now available 2 sided records".
