I have been researching online to discover the age and value of this chess.
It is in excellent condition as far as the structure. The leather straps on the side are missing, except for a piece or two. The hardware looks as old as the trunk. The top is a dome with five wood strips with unique metal hardware attached at each end. The front has five wood strips with unique metal pieces on each end *(the 3rd wood piece is only half the size of the others). The top of the latchet is missing the top metal piece, showing only two old screws?
To the left of this is a another metal latchet but much longer. I think the body is actually wood and covered with a very light metal and it sits flat on the floor. Inside there is wallpaper with S.A. Maxwell Co., New York, and looks as if it has been covered over another wallpaper. The size is 28 x 15 1/2 x 24 inches. Weight is 30 to 40 lbs approximately (not real sure on this, comparing it to my dog).

A gold colored velvet upholstered high-back chair. Wood is a medium golden brown tone. Cloth on arms and along top of back has some fraying damage. I'd like to know the approximate age and value. Thank you.

Silver plated ice tub with a white glass liner and ornate tongs. The base of the tub had a small dent and the silver is badly tarnished, but can be polished. The mark on teh bottom depicts a stylized lion inside of which is "Sheridan." The lion stand on a long rectangle in which is engraved "Taunton Silversmiths, LTD."

Gray fabric upholstered rocking chair. Very heavy for it's size. I don't know how to identify wood, but it is dark and dense. Apart from a discoloration on the back where people rested their heads, it appears in good condition. I'd like to know the approximate age and value and what type of wood it may be. Thank you.

Flowers on the top , butter dish with lid, tag LUKE A1 silverplate, wondering if it was a prize for miss australia beauty contests . Has flower on the handel. glass insert. hand written number 7 on the butter knife also says miss australia EPNS A1 LUKE. unique shape for knife. On the bottom of the butter dish says Luke alanta A1 silverplate

I was unable to get a clear picture of the inscription on the bottom. I have a video clip of it that I was unable to upload. It is 6.56 MB, approx 30 secs long. The base appears ceramic and is filled with small white stones. The flowers and leaves appear to be some sort of glass and are "tied" on with threading. This was found among the personal belongings of a Korean woman. It has 4 (Chinese?) characters on the bottom, and underneath that, either 2 more characters or the number 22. These are etched into the white bottom and I cannot capture the image, it all just looks white.
