We have had this painting around for several years. Been in the family for 20+, was bought when family lived in Arizona. I have tried to find any info on the artist with no luck. Any info on the artist or the painting would be much appreciated.
Carved upon the center panel of this gorgeous Lane Love Chest, is a 17th Century wedding scene. Superbly finished in black walnut, this glorified modern love chest carries on the romantic traditions of the ages.
I found what appears to be maybe a fruit platter/bowl that is hand painted with flowers and gold paint. very colorful. on the back is a crown with H.Bequet Quaregnon. With also a marking into the pottery itself, looks like someones intials or squiggly lines shaped like a "WN" or "UM" it is also numbered, but hard to tell what the number is, it is either 181 or 787. I dont have access to a digital camera or i would have taken a picture to include. Very nice condition.
Any information on this item would be very helpful to me so I can decide to keep it or to sale it.
