On the base, it has been engraved on 4 wings to read Leominster / Fire Department / Hook & Ladder 1 / Hose 1 - 2 - 4 and is marked on the bottom MF'D & PLATED BY REED & BARTON 4707. As the historian for our department i would believe pre 1895 simple becasue we had 2 ladder companies until then. Any information would be helpful as well as an idea of value. I have already contacted Reed & BArton here in Taunton and they are researching it for us as well.

 I have a total of three framed art pieces. They are all 3 signed by Lucy Rigg but the date on the are work is different from the signture date. On the first one it is a bear sitting in the middle of yellow flowers and whiling holding on in his hand you can see the petals flying off into the air. That drawing or lithograph has her named printed on the picture Lucy Rigg 1979 but singed on the matting in 1981. The second picture has two bears on a picnic, sitting on a blanket with a plate of cupcakes, flowers in a vase, basketn of fruit, coffe, and plate of cookies. This was her name printed on the picture Lucy Rigg 1978 but signed on matting 1980. The 3rd one is a very busy picnic scene with one bear swinging on a swing from a tree, another bear up in a tree, three bears on the yellow blanket and atleast a half dozen more bears in the background with ducks and rabbits. the one also has her name printed on it but the date by her name is hidden under the matting. Also signed by her 1980.

I have been asked to sell this for a friend.  It was given to his mother when she was young and is now 90 years old.
