Ivory Moghul Miniature of the princess Nur Jehan. This is a very intriquet inlay painting on a thin slice of ivory 1-1/2" x 1" oval. It is enclosed in a air tight frame. Portrait is of the Pakistani Princess around 1634. This is a museum quality piece. The ivory is white and not yellowing a bit.
I know the company was a lace manufactory, and I found out that "2nd steward" worked on that ship. In 1909 the Celtic did hit something and 1600 people were saved. Not much of anything else I found out. Still working on it but would love to find out what it is worth.
Purchased it over 15 years ago at either a tag or garage sale. Has been in my dry basement for over 12 years. My wife hates it, its time to sell it. Was told it was from europe.
