Nymph with Conch Shell Figurine

Category
Pottery
Condition
Good
Description

This is an old pottery figurine that looks like Majolica? It is unidentified and I need help with that. From what I have been able to find the woman can be considered a nymph or goddess. She is standing behind and over a conch or shell on a foliage base. It is glazed with an unglazed bottom. The figure is pale and I'm not sure if it's a clear glaze or a greenish glaze over it. The color varies from pale to vibrant. She is holding a flower in her left hand which rests atop the shell which is lying on it's side. The shell is open side up. the foliage base has green leaves and four bunches of pink and yellow flowers. The woman is wearing a blue victorian gown with an empire waist denoted with the appearance of a ribbon or belt. She appears to have green hair. The foliage pottery work is kind of knotty with sharp points. The shell has a beautiful smooth pink interior and the exterior is primarily green with a little brown on the bottom side and some blue mixed in where it is against the woman's dress. There isn't any apparant crazing. There are a few chips which I will include in photos. The marks on the bottom are pressed in to a raised rectangle - 8204, pressed into the base underneath the other number - 20 and then there is an ink mark 107...the 7 being written like european? with a slash in the center of the upright. The unglazed bottom has one hole in it.

solid cherry wood dinning set made by monitor furniture company

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I have a dinning set. All are marked Monitor Furniture Co. All are solid cherry wood. I do have the original catalog to them but it does not state prices. The first item is a dinning table with six chairs in which two are captain chairs. The table is in good condition because of some scratches on the feet of the chairs. The table has two leaves with it. The next item is the matching serving table that is in great condition, hardly and imperfections and comes with the key to lock the bottom cabinet. And that carbonate is a slim drawer. It also has a brass railing on the top. The last item is. a china hutch . The hutch is two separate pieces the buffet table and the hutch. The hutch has 4 glass doors and glass shelves with cherry wood around the glass. It is a lighted hutch. There are four drawers and four cabinets. This piece is in great condition. I was wondering what the estimated value would be.

Homer Brothers Vintage Dining Set 6 Tufted Chairs, Table & Buffet

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I have a beautiful cherrywood dining set that my mother inherited from her aunt and has passed it along.  It has JD Woodworking Louisville stamped on the underside of the table, but I am aware that this company was responsible for the slides.

The table has four chairs and two captain chairs.  Wood is prestine.  The table protector is always in use.

Stamped inside the leaves is HOMER BROTHERS.

The buffet is also in mint condition, the top protected under glass.

My mother inherited this 42 years ago from her aunt who may have had it at least 20 years.  She always admired it and so do I.

I have no idea how to price this gorgeous set.

The chairs were professionally reapholstered about 20 years ago.
