Chicago Herald American, 'An American paper for the American people'. Headlines=Germany Surrenders!" issued on Tuesday, May 8, 1945
Also have the Lincoln Night Journal, issued on April 12, 1945 w/ the Headlines-"The President is Dead!", in regards to the death of FDR and the 'promotion' of Harry Truman.
These are in rough condition as far as aged and just a tad tattered. however, they are not 'dirty', and are still readable!

History
The item was found in Okmulgee, Oklahoma about five years ago, in a trailer house that a friend of mine was refurbishing for a mobile home dealer. It was found among a number of things but this was the most interesting because of the 'reality' that came with it.

These newspapers are about $10 each. Many were printed and nicer copies are easy to find at comparable prices.
