Re: NUTCRACKER & BOWL FISH & MERMAID SHAPED-WOODEN ?

I think that is a shell cracker for crab, lobster etc. What is that on the bottom, a label?

Re: NUTCRACKER & BOWL FISH & MERMAID SHAPED-WOODEN ?

Hi Kathy,

is there any way i can find out what this may be? How much it may worth? where did it come from? It looks like there used to be a label on the bottom but this is how it was when i recieved the dish. i alwasys thought it was a nut cracker and thought anything different. that would make sense

thank you
Joyce

Re: NUTCRACKER & BOWL FISH & MERMAID SHAPED-WOODEN ?

I was thinking it may have come from Hawaii or some other tropical place like a tourist item. If you can identify the wood it may narrow it down, looks like teak but I am not sure.

Hopefully someone else on here may have an idea of age and value, I do not want to guess.
