Capodimonte flower basket

By Celloking, 11 December, 2012
Description

Inherited this from my grandmother.  Can't find any info on the hallmarks.  They seem to be different than most capodimonte items.  Maybe a fake for all I know.  Has one broken leaf, and a few other chipped ones..  One very noticeable, the others were hard to spot.  Does this have any value?

Re: Capodimonte flower basket

Capodiamonte is so art- deco. But I want sell my few(3) pieces. I am afraid of chipping, and breaking which me and capodi. Go rounds with this issue. Some urban legend say its a curse upon it founder and the business. Several fans of capodi and salesmen at an outlet in compton told me this 15+ yrs ago. I hope not to jinx you with its legend. Lucky

Re: Capodimonte flower basket

First time I've heard this story and I've been in the antique business since 1963 ;~) To check prices on capodimonte just visit Ebay, there are hundreds of pieces of it listed every month.
