These two chairs have sat in my guest room for more than twenty years. They belonged to my mother. The story goes that they were in a hotel lobby in San Francisco. I have no idea about the style or age. The are both in good shape for the age (whatever that might be). The fabric is original I think. My brother purchased them for my mother when I was a child back in Boston. They measure 18ā height to the seat and 41ā high to the highest point on the back. They are 24ā inches wide side to side
This was given to me as a gift a long time ago. I'd love to know more about this item as I am a collector of porcelain art with geese, ducks....well, just about any type of bird. Thanks.
I purchased this about 15 yrs ago and have no idea of its current market value. Any additional information about this item would be appreciated. Thanks.
I was wondering what is the history of this pair of Ceramic Samurai flower holders? The finish up close is of a crackled texture. I have never heard of "Japan's Kobe" before so am curious to know more about these items. Many thanks.
My uncle gave me this Dragonware set as a gift. He doesn't remember if it had a sticker underneath as many years have passed since he purchased it. The set is of a lustre pearly finish and is comprised of 6 cups with their saucers, Tea pot, creamer and sugar cup. I have no idea if this is genuine Dragonware or not so any history on this set would be appreciated. Many thanks!
I am curious what kind of dish this is as well as what the value of the dish is. I don't think it is a butter dish. It seems too large. Also, it doesn't look like other butter dishes put out by James W. Tufts. There are several items by him that appear online frequently. I was unable to find this one.
The design is unusual, I think...normally these beds have flowers or scrolls, but this one is more masculine, with 3D rectangles topped with "turret looking" decorations, below are some more classic 3D designs, then thin bars to the frame; it is quite high off the floor, and incredibly heavy...the side bars of the frame interlock with the head/footboards almost like Lincoln Logs...I don't really have any idea about the bed other than the approximate era...there are pictures from the ad on Craigslist Albuquerque, but I don't have any of my own yet...Would it be worth it to get some pictures sent?
