This is an antique School Bell, retired from Unionville MI country school many years ago. The bell itself is 12 inches high and 19 wide. The bar above the bell has "C.S. Bell & Co" on the left, a "4" in the middle and "Hillsboro O." on the right. There is also a large "L" on the top of the bell proper. It appears to be made of cast iron and is pitted but in good solid condition. Altogether there is the bell, two triangular supports, a bar that suspends the bell, the clanger and a handle. All are in good condition. We'd really like to know what this bell is worth so we can make appropriate plans for it's care!
