I know nothing about the history of this piece. I got it on Craigslist for cheap, and intend to chalk paint & distress it for a shabby chic look.
It's solid wood
dovetail joinery
the drawers have plastic stoppers on the back
There are no markings or stamps noting the manufacturer or date.
i like to provide a little info when selling a piece & have no frame of reference to this. It appears to be a colonial reproduction from maybe the 1960's? It's reminiscent of the Ethan Allen Trestle desks, but I cannot find anything similar to it online. I appreciate any help that can be provided regarding time period, wood type, price, possible manufacturers & location of origin. Thanks!
Ps. The asking price listed is what I plant to sell it for once I have completed upcycling it.
