I have a piece of pottery I'm trying to decide whether to keep or gift it. It's a signed Mary Saxon Navajo pottery vase with black on black feather design. It's a medium size, about 7 inches tall and 8 inches wide. Please let me know what you think it might be worth.
My mom recieved this bowl from a friend in 1936. The woman who gave it to her was almost 100 yrs. old at the time. She had had the bowl most of her adult life. Whyen the bowl is set in sun light, it turns a lavender color. I had it looked at once by an appraiser and was told it was pre-civil war. There are no manufacture marks on it at all.
I was once told this board is called a Keg Board. That they used it in Cali to ride down the board walks w/ a keg in the center and rode it down to the beach to have a party and drink. Is that true? i have no idea.
It's a longboard and the trucks say Jesen on them. Supposedly the board is also made by the company Jesen, however, I have Never been able to find any information on this board or on the company either.
I was wondering if someone could tell me a little more about this board --- what year it's exactly from and how much it may be worth?
I bought this board off of ebay about 10 or so years ago for abotu $45.00 --- I believe it's from the 1980's but, I have no idea. The wheels that I currently have on the board are Spinner wheels (yes, they have hubcaps on them and they actually spin) --- however, I do own the original wheels/bearings that came with the board. They are orange --- I can take pics of them too if you would like.
This board has a super tight turning radius and it's very stable at high speeds (yes, i always ride this board as it's my favorite board)
