I have a large painting of " Villa Frascati" signed Duval. It looks like an original but it is framed and matted under glass. Does anyone know if is is an original and the possible value of it? 34.5" x 42.5"
I recently acquired this exquisite 18-inch Tiffany & Co Copeland Spode platter from Sandpoint, Idaho. What brings me here is the lack of information I could find online about this specific item.
Despite that, the platter is in remarkable condition, with only some minor gold gilding loss along the inner edge and a few faint scratches. It's difficult to determine if these scratches are a result of utilitarian wear or something else entirely.
The back of the platter showcases the distinguished Tiffany and Company stamp, along with the spode and copeland makers marks. Additionally, there are several intriguing stamped impressions that I have captured in photographs.
Curiously, there is an ink inscription of "1859" on the back. Whether this date holds any legitimacy or if it is an attempt to forge the manufacturing date remains unknown.
Overall, this platter is an incredibly fascinating item, and I would greatly appreciate any insights or knowledge you may have to offer.
Hand carved wooden box,, @ 7" long, 6" high. Metal ring opens inset lid to hollowed center. Purchased in Boston area. Would liike to know age and function , if any.
Did a reverse image search to figure out what this instrument is called. It has 15 strings and a guide imposed on the surface that indicates the note each string is supposed to be tuned to. Unlike other lap harps I saw pictures of online, this one does not have a hole in it for acoustics. There's nothing on it that indicates a brand or year. Any ideas on the worth would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.
