I am looking for any info at all on this toy Banjo Player. His head is made of tin and is attached to a wooden box type frame. The front of the box is covered in painted tin. Head nods and hand strums when he is wound.. The mechanism looks like clockworks, there is a lead pedulum.
I aquired this piece from a friend. I am from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This is where it was given to me. I have no history of its origin. It has very great wood burning on each piece. It appears to be hand made and looks old, however I know that doesn't mean so. I am curious of any history or value of this piece. If anyone can provide any information or where I could find any information that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
