This tub has been in an island summer cottage since it was built in 1894. Since there was no running water available, the tub has never had faucets; however, the location for the appropriate fixtures is evident on the outside of the tub. It does have a drain, and overflow pipe, and even the original stopper! It is made double thickness with the inside shell of copper and the outer of tin, and has a varnished wooden rail. As can be seen, the fancy cast iron legs extend all the way up the seams and attach to the oak rim.
