He is dressed in a german sailor suit with a blue hat with a red tossle A yellow turtle neck sweater On the bottom of his foot he has Artico and Made in Germany there is Patent Number 1010 Which I think would be in the German archives of patents
The back of the sconce have an impression in the ceramic that seems to say "patented 149144" vary faint impression. Other than the colored brush stroke mark on the back, no other artist mark or indentification. They were recieved as a housewarming gift 30+ yrs ago and were claimed to be valuable antique at the time
Very old antique oil painting of boats in distress on the ocean. Very thin canvas with some tears. No signature on painting. Markings on 2 Tags on back of wood; one reads: Bourlet & Sons, Ltd. Fine Art, Frame Makers A3487. The other tag reads: M.E.E. Schillay 2057 (could be the buyers name...not sure). The canvas has some markings on the back but I can not make out the lettering.
