an Ivory colored tray with 1 oil bottle and one vinegar bottle. also what looks like a honey pot with a small lid and a glass stirrer. Old village looking picture on side of honey pot with horse and buggy. Top of honey pot has little blue flower. trimmed in gold leaf. Bottom of set reads "Crown Devon" S Fielding & CO LTD, England, Potters for over 100 years. It has a number on the bottom of 1453. looks like it was numbered before it was cooked
Any more information you can give me, would be much appreciated. I would say this item is in excellent to good condition. No dings, a few scratches, and on the bottom it's showing in a few spots the copper underneath. I would also like to find out what this piece was used for. Thanks, Sunshine.
First purchased for Jim Williams of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", a famous and wealthy art dealer of Savannah, Georgia. On the night of Jim William's murder my grandmother had the chair ready to give to Mr. Williams. He had paid her to find it for him, but after his death my grandmother kept the chair. It was part of the original set when the first African American church was erected in Savannah Georgia in 1859.
