The pieces range from about one and a half too two and a half inches tall. The kings, queens, knights, bishops, and roukes are very detailed. i cant tell if they are carved or cast. they are made of solid brass, and weigh from a quater to one pound. they are pretty old as far as i can tell the house they were found in has been vacant for at least the last thirty years. they have not been cleaned and are a dull brass color.
This is a Cundy Bettoney B-flat clarinet. I have been told that there were only 6 made and that it is sterling silver, probably plated. It was bought by my grandfather during the depression. The number that is stamped is 3415
