This set has hollow handles and decorative gold plate tines.  This has been in the family for generations and was "believed" to be a gift from the royal family to a distant Aunt.  It was made in Czechoslovakia and a small peice of paper when translated said that the maker, E.Reimer had a royal commission from Archduke, Carl Franz Josef who was married to Archduchess Zita.

Forgive me for lack of precise terminology but the base glaze of the vase is a grey orange peel effect.  It has four other colours that are a high gloss thick glaze - the stripes which are yellow black and rust and the colour at the bottom which is a cappucino brown - it has been dipped into the colour. The label is black and silver with fine silver lines going across the black base colour.

I have a collection of 1943 & 1944 copywrite FW Dixon Hardy Boys books.  They are in good condition with brown cloth covers and may be printed on "war paper".

This piece really fascinates me. I was left this by a very old aunt. I have put this down as being in fair condition although it has had some restoration work done on one of the corners. There is no makers mark but it does have the number 1871 hanwritten under the glaze on the underside. Under this is the number 7. Any ideas what this dish might be.
