The Monarch Electric Sciopticon

Category
Other
Condition
Good
Description

This item was given to my Father recently.  We know it is a Sciopticon and that is was manufactured by Pettibone Bros. Mfg. in Cincinatti, Ohio.  We believe it is complete though we are not sure since we've never seen one of these before. It was accompanied by several slides made of rectangular wood with glass pictures inserted in them, and a wooden adjustable stand.  We would appreciate any information we can get including value if possible.

Two monks in a tree

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Fair
Description

Here is a picture of two monks under a tree. I guess they are monks. Unfortunately the top of the tree has a broken branch. It was broken before I got it. Someone tried to glue it back and then the branch finally broke off. The base needs to be handled with care because it is not fully connected, but that is because it was carved in such a way. One of the guys is holding a bird in his hand. There are a few small knicks in the statue. I am just wondering if anyone knows the history on this or what it really is?
