Heavy Primitive STAND/FOLK ART Architectural Pedestal

Category
Folk Art
Description

I found this in a Salvation Army store.  As strange as this sounds, my 1st thoughts were this was made of wood,  after examining much closer specifically for this appraisal, it seems maybe some sort of clay or stone.  Using a insulin syringe needle, I tried scraping into the piece. It is very dense feeling but began showing dust like something made of clay would if scraped.  The 3 balls that on the rope are also made of some type of clay.  It also has a price tag of $290 on the bottom. It weighs approx 4lbs.  Help me at least what it is called.. lol

Brown Vintage Clutch

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Fair
Description

A lovely box clutch that has possibly seen betters days, it is possibly leather, possibly wood. The inside has wrinkled silk type material and the mirror is clear enough but spotty around the edges. The lining is peeling away slighly on the oppisite side to the closure and some french type of newspaper or magazine is peeking out. As you can see in the photo, it stays clasped shut but does leave a small gap around the edge of the closure, probabbly enough room for a credit card to slip through. I'm not sure where it's from, what year or era it is from, or what country its from. Any speculation/opinions are welcome and appreciated.
