Vase is stamped "Made In Japan" on the bottom of vase.  It looks hand painted with a dotted design around top base of vase with a hand painted flower in the middle a bluish green color the scene painted on the vase is of a landscape that has a windmill with a little house / cabin, in colors of blues and brown nutral colors.  The painting is continuous around the whole vase.  It was my grandfather's mother's vase, he was born in 1931 , I'm not sure of her year of birth. Since my Grandfather's passing, I have been given this vase.  I'm curious to know it's worth and details about it.

Of interest to me is the age of this knife. My father had this knife for as long as I can remember, where he got it is unkown to me. This has been in our family many years. It has the numbers 989/29 with a design and word under it, that I cannot make out. It is 10 inches across and looks china painted. It is very pretty.
