My father in law keeps the flag in a security box in Texas...we live in California and currently have no access to it. Once we receive a basic quote, we may be interested in retrieving it.
I want to know if this is something I should have insured. I'm not familiar with the origin or worth of the piece, but it seems strong and probably like it's made from real silver. I know nothing about appraising or value of Vintage items, so I really need help... lol... I only actually know what this is called because I saw the same thing on craig's list today for 30 dollars and thought for sure that would be a steal. Again, I'm not sure how much was paid for mine, but I have this exact full set; all matching pieces, all Coro stamped. Any help anyone can provide would be most appreciated!
This painting was given to me about 7 years ago and was purchased at an estate sale some years earlier by my sister whom I am no longer in touch with. I remember her saying it was Italian or French in origin, but I can't be sure. She never stated the sum she paid for it, but she and her now deceased husband were avid high-end collectors. I love the painting and wish to know more about it and would also like to insure it.
