I dont have any info on this clock & would like to know . There is a mark inside on the base of what look like atriangle with elephants holding up a crest or something like that.
the name of the print is "silent witness" - it is signed by Herbert Schmalz - the copywright if Alfred Bell & co. oct. 1st 1917 - this print was given to me from my father who had it for many years
"Manuf_re d'armes de bh'at _u Mai 1874 - bav_rie l_re M_b 1822" (the underscores and italisized letters are written on the sword as a dash with the letters above)
Slightly curved Blade 36" in straight line from Hilt to Point. Hilt is 5" across.
It's fairly heavy to handle. The sword alone weighs 2.5, with the scabbard it's 4.5
My parents got this from a family friend and it's been hanging on a wall in their home as decoration. It has no dents, dings, or scratches and just a few little tarnished spots.
I could not get the phots to donwload tothe site. It is a plate that has a card on the back that says "Damascus copper, Typical Village Design. Approx. 50-60 years old. 8-24-76. Metal is non magnetic, and looks handmade. The finish is not even.
