I purchased (at a steal of a price!) a Lane Cedar Chest the other day and after doing some research, I have found out it is dated to Dec 22, 1939. I already have the replacement lock/latch ordered for it due to the recall. The lid is pretty scratched up, but other than that it is good condition. I am wondering what the value of it might be and if that value would deminish if I refinish/ redo it.
