This set was purchased in Germany, by my grandfather who was stationed there in either the late 40's/early 50's, as a gift for my grandmother. My mother was born in the U.S. in '52, while her oldest brother was born in Germany in the late 40's. So, I'm pretty positive it was purchased in the 40's. There are no authentication papers that came with it. I have researched Lisner myself, and found that they in fact were manufacturing in the 30's/40's, in Germany. This set resembles another that I had found online years ago when researching my item. It was appraised at $389.00 then. The jewels were shades of browns, however. My set's jewels are shades of blues and greens. I have found that any "leaf" jewelry by Lisner is worth money. But I cannot find anyone who will appraise this for me. I am hoping that someone here will be able to. It is marked with LISNER in block letters, with the copyright before their name.
I am not sure what these are and if they are authentic and if they are worth anything. one is in good condition and the other is slightly damaged. Thanks
This is a remarkable work of srtatined glass. Has jeweled one glass and several rippled glass pieces. Original frame and hanging hardware. Excellent condition. Measures with frame 23 1/4" w x 37 1/4" h. I purchased this from a collector, who let me know at the time it was an antique 19th C. lead glass landing window. I'm considering selling piece and am unclear on its worth. Would like to know the value and any other information about this. Thank you.
