looking to understand it’s age, characteristics better and value. Have found very similar item called “Anglo-Indian Vizagapatam Jewelry Inlaid Sadeli Mughal Style Box” that was listed at ~$1k but not sure if this is of value.
The Approximately 9" (24cm) dinner plate is in excellent condition with no chips or crazing. The front of the plate has a small mm dot the underside has numerous spots with missing glaze. I am unable to identify the Maker's Mark.
Plate was part of my Father-in-law collections who lived in Hamburg, Germany and claimed all of his antiques were at least 300 years old compared to my late wife's who were merely 150-200-hundred-year old.
Got this cloth at auction. It is heavy linen cutwork with silk (?) embroidery and features a hunting scene with dogs, pheasants, men on horseback and a deer slung on a pole. It measures about 102"x60".
