Civil war era American settee purchased in Chicago. Needs a bit of repair but otherwise a beautiful piece. Curious about specific age, maker/designer, and value.
This had originally been a service for 12 but because of some broken, cracked or missing pieces it would be a service for 8. There are dinner plates, med. plates, saucers, cups, salad bowls, small bowls, butter plates and extra pieces like meat platters, veg. bowls, gravy boat, sugar/creamer, and a covered butter bowl. It has a purple flower with green leaves and a gold swag like around the edges and the edge of the dishes are scalloped.
