this piece has a few chips. May have had a lid. the mark is the same as Coiffe Limoges C60a, star with the word limoges on the inside and "France" under the star. Can you tell me what it might be worth? Thank you.
Bicycle is in excellent condition. The only thing that has been changed is the tires. It even has front and rear cargo areas above the fenders. It has a generator that provides energy to the front and rear lights.
Would like to know the approximate value of the first issue of Life magazine. It is very interesting and has currents events and important people from 1936 such as: Franklin Roosevel's "The President's Album; Helen Hayes as Queen Victoria in "Victoria Regina"; NBC celebrating it's 10th birthday; Jack Benny; Gypsy Rose Lee; Walter Winchell; Mussolini; Winston Churchill; Ethel Barrymore; Sarah Bernhardt; Theda Bara; an article on the capture of Buck Barrow (Clyde Barrow of Bonnie and Clyde fame)
I also have a second magazine dated 12/21/1936 which has as expose' of King Edward and his divorced love Mrs. Simpson and his renouncing of the English throne to his brother George IV.
This is a hand made french double horn by Gebr. Alexander in Germany. Made somewhere around 1982-1983. There were only 3 made of that particular horn!!!!! One is in the posession of a music museum in Japan! The second one is in our family posession, the third one is unknown! Those informations base on the official statement from Gebr. Alexander/ Mainz Germany from 08-15-2008!!! Right now the horn is assembled as a F/B double horn but can be changed to many other registers due to many different valves which came with that horn. According to the manufacturer this instrument is OF COURSE playable, but due to weight and complexity very hard to play, even for a professional horn player! THIS IS A RARE COLLECTORS ITEM !!! The instrument belonged to my dad who sadly passed away last year. We, the family, do not necessarily have to keep that gorgous instrument but if we find somebody who can appriciate that masterpiece we are willing to negotiate. WE ARE AWARE THAT THIS MASTERPIECE DUE TO THE RARITY HAS ITS VALUE !!!The horn is in MINT condition which just got approved through the manufacturer!
