was given to us by deceased relative..it is a painting i assume oil and is is a picture of the desert..on the back it has a label that says academy art.1840 clybourn,chicago ill, and has picture#2483r4..thanks just seeking appraisal..might sell

Abstract painting of city or village from distance, has Paco Gorospe signature in right hand corner. The frame is a little dirty but the painting is in very good condition.

The dish is scalloped around the edge and I believe, repoussed, around the dish in a band.  The design includes ram's heads and grape vines and the detail is amazing.  I have not seen anything like it and I have spent a lot of time on the web trying to identify it.  The repoussed band is again scalloped and then the dish curves down into the center circle which is etched with two cats playing.  The back is unfinished.  It is a dirty brown color and the surface has a sandy textured feel.  The back has the reverse of the front repousse work.  I tried to include photographs, but no matter what I adjust in my file size, the picture engine you're using says that my download is too large.  Hope you can help me.  Thanks!

Beautiful pair of Art Noveau statues by J. Ruhl - Echo. About the only issues with the pieces are where the recycling place scraped to check the metal. Also, one statue weighs about 7 ounces more than the other.
