On the back of the plate in very small thin red words it has Victoria then below that there is a Crown then toward the bottom Austria. On the front of the plate, in black script writting Kaufmann is on both sides of the plate just underneath the each group of people.

This is some kind of vessel that I purchased at a yard sale.  They said it was from an art museum.  They said it was a shower for sailors.  It has a pitcher spout on top and a small rope it hang it up with.  It will not stand up on its own. 

It appears to made of of clay or possibly even porcelain.  It is not that delicate.  It is pretty strong. 

Can you tell me what it is, what it is used for and what it might be worth? 

the box is royal blueish purpleish and has a royal seal on the front of the box

--the candles are in mint condition (replacements i beilieve)

--the hart shaped holder was used (a little waxy in the top hole)
