 smaller piece shown in one of the pictures has word

 "SCROLL" written inside an ornate "paisley" shape,

 and  a triangular dot pattern of three incised dots

 located  at the lower left of the pattern name (picture

 #2489new)

 larger piece has number 17 incised in bottom and top

 but no identification other than a small mark that

 looks like an X, with the top two projections

 replaced  by fat periods (picture #2490new)

I know very little about this so I think I'll let the pics speak for me.

The bottom seems so have rings etched into it. This makes reading complete words somewhat difficult.  The border looks to be stamped without a relief on the other side.  Needs to be cleaned but because I don't know what the word is before plate I don't if or how I would clean it.  Any suggestion?

Twas the Night Before Christmas whole story

There are 12 dinner plates, 12 salad plates, 12 saucers and 11 small coffee cups. There are no chips or cracks.  There are a few light scratches from use. The china is ivory with gold floral design.
